=== **Page: 1 of 1** June 13, 1971 Mr. Carroll Rosenbloom Baltimore Colts Dear Rosie: (I like that name. You can call me Teddy if you went to). Someone in your staff...has made a great big boo-boo. They have practically made sure...that the Colts will be stopped cold, racked up, by PK Man, this coming season. We got off to a promising beginning...when you communicated with me. You asked me to come and see you. I agreed to, if you would finance the trip. You did not answer that. Then I asked you to call me, so that we could chat. You did not do so. Next, the Sports Club in Norfolk asked you or your son to drop down and have a friendly meeting at their luncheon. Your PR men, as I understand it, nixed that. (and incidentally...I am giving a seminar at that meeting...for all owners and managers of pro football teams in the U.S., to explain exactly how "PK" works...its perepsychological basis, the mechanisms, etc. Am putting it all on the table, for the teams to understand. I am pioneering in this field...and after me will come others...so it is to the distinct advantage of the owners of pro teams...to understand what it is they are confronted with, in this new medium.) (Hiding heads in the sand...will only get them clobbered with the new medium, probably, in the long run.)(The smart ones are the ones who find out what it is all about, how it works, and either set up defenses...or join the new medium.) So...through bad advice from those around you...the Colts will suffer this coming year. After all, which is worse? How it "looks" or what actually happens to the Colts? I am a fact, and a proven fact, and nothing is going to stop it from happening, regardless of how the "public relations" looks like. It's sort of like Joe Frazier (me) fighting a man on the street...and the man on the street worrying about how he's dressed for the fraces. Academically, how he's dressed...will have little to do with the projected outcome. He'll get flattened, no matter how he's dressed. Mr. Rozelle answered, and you got a copy. So that point is clear. So...I'll warm up by hitting the Colts with PK in the All Star Game. Now, the All Stars haven't enough punch as a rule to capitalize on the opportunities PK would give them...but...the All Stars plus PK... can take one hell of a lot out of the Colts. Then for the big game. The Last Pro Bowl I helped the Colts beat the Cowboys. Well, in the Cowboys-Colts game coming up...my power will be helping the Cowboys flatten the worlds Champion Colts. Then let your PR men explain that to you. Sincerely, Ted Owens (PK man) Ted Owens - Pk. Man Box 3134 CHS Norfolk, Va. 23514
