Contacts: Also enclosed is another document I thought you might like to see and have a copy of. It is a signed, notarized affidavit from a top scientist in the United States.

Dr. Max Fogel, a psychiatrist (who gives the Mensa applicants their battery of mental tests, in Philadelphia. Dr. Fogel gave me all of my tests when I entered into Mensa as a member. He is also International Research Officer (their chief scientist) for Mensa.

It is his function to run tests and surveys on the people with the top IQ's in the world (the M's) and projects involving further research into what makes the top brains of mankind tick, what better use can be made of them, etc etc. This document he has given me...is a pure statement of fact. Nothing more. But I'll tell you this: I didn't know there was a scientist in the world of his prestigious stature...who would back me up in my revolutionary approach to the field of psi phenomena...by giving me a signed confirmation such as this.

Of one thing you can be absolutely positive...Dr. Max Fogel would never lend his name to a document such as this...if he thought for one minute that I were mentally deluded, psychotic, or otherwise off-the-beam.

He probed my mind for hours and hours, with the ruggedest of mental tests...when I applied to get into Mensa...so he knows, being a psychiatrist...my mental stability, my approximate IQ, and all the rest.

I am exceedingly grateful to Dr. Fogel for supplying me with this affidavit. (I worked very hard for it, you should know, in attacking those pro teams all season long...with my mind...with psi-force mechanisms...to bring about those certain specific results.)

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Ted Owens, who calls himself "PK Man", notified me during the early part of the 1970 pro football season (which just finished) that he would control five professional football teams this season, so that they could not win the coveted Super Bowl Pro Football Championship at the end of the season.

He specifically said that he would work at causing injuries to key players, in order to bring this about.

The five teams were the Kansas City Chiefs (who had won the Super Bowl the year previously); the New York Jets (who had won the Super Bowl the year before that); the Dallas Cowboys; the Miami Dolphins, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

After Owens wrote me this the entire backfield of the New York Jets was wiped out by crippling injuries - Namath, Snell, etc. Much the same thing occurred to the Kansas City Chiefs.

As the season progressed Owens kept writing reports to me on his progress. He claims to be able to use psychokinesis, or "PK" as it is called in para-psychology, to bring this about. He uses TV and radio to be in on every play of each game, sometimes working on two games simultaneously.

The Chiefs and Jets, who were the heavyweight contenders at the beginning of the season, fell by the wayside as the season went on. (Owens even helped the Raiders win their games miraculously, he claims, in order to put down the Chiefs, who were in the same division.) The Eagles only won three games in the year. The Dolphins, a very tough team, survived longer until Owens eliminated them, he claims, toward the end of the season. The Cowboys should have been eliminated, Owens claims, earlier, but in two key games their op-ponents threw away the opportunities Owens gave them to win, as he explains it, and the Cowboys beat them. (In one of these two games the Cowboys were only able to score 5 points.)

Then came the Super Bowl. Owens wrote to me before the game, saying that he would do his best to make them lose this all-important game. During the game

itself the Colts seemed beaten but the Cowboys lost the game, because two seemingly miraculous happenings beat them. There were two "tipped" passes that ended in the arms of Colts for touchdowns, one ending with a kick that both the kicker and the holder stated "seemed" to "fade a little, then come back", lifting again into the air over the crossbars. (This from a newsclip quoting the kicker and holder.)

I do not know if the claims of Owens are true about his ability to control pro football games with his mind. But I do state that the above facts are true, to the best of my knowledge.

Ted Owens has asked me to give my qualifications as a writer, in regard to the articles you read in SAGA magazine, to indicate that they were carefully researched and written.
I've been a freelance writer and reporter for some 30 years. My published work includes a dozen science books, many books of science fiction, and a hundred or more science articles for magazines.
In the case of Ted Owens, he furnished me with thorough documentation, affidavits, and signed testimonies as to the PK feats he accomplished in the past ten years, as featured in those articles. He also sent me his entire set of personal diaries, which back up all of his feats as they occurred.
I am quite convinced that Ted Owens does possess some amazing kind of psychokinetic powers which account for the deeds listed. I have made a thorough study of psi-phenomena in general and therefore know the field. Ted Owens, to my mind, has psi-power potential that has not yet been used fully, which have apparently been bestowed upon him by the SI's (Space Intelligences). I know it all sounds startling but facts are still facts. Science has not yet caught up to the true mysteries of the universe, in my opinion.
